Gap years teach you how to be independent, self-confidence and give an experience of life after university.
In our country, people don’t like taking gap years, they think that if they took it then they return to the university it will be hard for them to get on with studying.
Never the less there some people that are forced to take it like those who had low marks in high school which made none of the governmental universities take them so they had to take a gap year to work and get some money to get in a private university.
Also there are some who took it because they didn’t want to study.
In my opinion Emiratis would be interested in gap years on these five or eight years, because there are people are taking it and talking about how exiting is it.
If you asked me, I would take a gap year in Saudi Arabia, there isn’t any specific thing I want to do but mainly I want to work near Mekka, I think Jeddah is the nearest place that I can get a good job from. The main connection that is between UAE and Cambodia is that the UAE is investing halal food in Cambodia
